New Scandia Planning Commission and New Scandia Town Board held
the Gravel Mining Hearings on the above date. Members of the
Town Board present were: Charles Nordin, Beverly Pratt, Howard
Hawkinson. Absent, Kenneth Ostlund.
Barton Sand and Gravel
Planning Commission recommends to the Town Board to grant the
Gravel Mining Permit for Barton Sand and Gravel for one year.
Nordin made a motion to accept with the following addition.
The clerk contact the County about the bond for the amount of
$150,000.00 which names the County and Township and a copy
shall be secured for the town files. Hawkinson seconded and
adopted.
Bracht Bros Pit
Planning Commission recommends to the Town Board to grant the
Gravel Mining Permit to Bracht Bros. for one year on the condition
a bond be posted with the town for 30 acres in the amount of
$90,000.00 and no washing or crushing. Hawkinson made the motion
to accept. Pratt seconded and adopted.

Dressel Contractinz Pit
Planning Commission recommends to the Town Board to grant the
Gravel Mining Permit for Dressel Contracting and post a bond
with the township for 25 acres in the amount of $50,000.00.
Pratt made a motion to accept. Nordin seconded and adopted.
Lindgren Pit
Planning Commission recommends to the Town Board to grant
George Lindgren a Gravel Mining Permit for removal of stockpile
only. There will be no mining and very little reclaimation
so a bond will not be required. Nordin made a motion to accept
and there shall be no mining. The permit shall not go into
effect until March 5, 1990. Hawkinson seconded and adopted.

Planning Commission recommends to the Town Board to grant a
Gravel Mining Permit for John Nordin, because he has reclaimed
most no bond shall be required. Hawkinson seconded and adopted.

Mesiters Bar and Grill Beer License
Hawkinson made a motion to sign the beer license for Meisters
Bar and Grill. Nordin seconded and adopted.

The following are corrections from the January 30, 1990 Gravel
Mining Permits.
Lindgren Pit
Nordin made a motion to accept and there will be mining in the
pit. The permit shall not go into effect until March 15, 1990.
Hawkinson seconded and adopted.
Bracht Pit
Remove the word crushing from the motion.
Nordin Pit

Pratt made a motion to accept Planning Commission to the Town
Board to grant a Gravel Mining Permit for John Nordin, because
he has reclaimed most of the pit area so a bond shall not be
required. Hawkinson seconded and adopted.
