On the above date New Scandia Planning Commission held their
regular monthly meeting. Members present were: Jackson, Pratt,
Nordin, Nickelson and Ostlund.
David Haselbauer
Planning Commission recommends to the Town Board to grant
the Conditional Use Permit to David Haselbauer, 21360 Manning
Trail, Scandia, Mn. Part of the Wz of SW4 of Section 18, Township
32. Provided that any hazardous substance on the site be in
compliance with the Minnesota Pollution Control and there be
no more then one employee working in the shop. The Conditional
Use Permit be reviewed in one year. Ostlund made a motion to
accept with addition Mr. Haselbauer notify the Township of
the license from Minnesota Pollution Control. Pratt seconded
and adopted.
Nickelson Plastics
Planning Commission recommends to the Town Board to grant the
Conditional Use Permit for Nickelson Plastics 21810 Olinda Trail,
Scandia, MN. Lot 3 County Audtiors Plat No. 6 to temporially
move in a trailer for office space for 2 years with review in
one year. With the proposed site the:r.e will be no parking
problems and there will be only 1 additional employee. The
trailer shall be no longer than 14 X 66. Pratt made a motion
to accept. Nordin seconded and adopted.
Gregory Page
Planning Commission recommends to the Town Board to grunt the
variance to Gregory Page 3336 Girard Ave. South, Minneapolis,
Mn. Property location 17001 220th Street North, Scandia, MN.
Part of Govt. Lot 4, SW 245 feet of Gov. Lot 4. NE -4 of SE -4 of
Section 18, Township 32, Range 19. To construct a screen porch
closer to the bluff line than is allowed by the zoning ordinance
on condition that siding match the existing house and that there
is no removal of any trees, shrubs or other vegetation between
the house and the river. Nordin made a motion. Nickelson
seconded and adopted.
Francis Kushlan
Planning Commission recommends to the Town Board to grant approval
of Frances Kushlan, 18180 Manning Trail, Marine, MN 55047. SE -
of SW -4 of Section 31, Township 32 North Range 20 West. For a
Minor Subdivision on condition Parcel B be combined on same
deed with neighbors parcel and the south 33 feet from center
line of 180th Street be conveyed to New Scandia Township as
a road easement prior to conveyance of Parcel A. Ostlund made
a motion to accept. Nordin seconded and adopted.
Robert Hathaway Pat and Paul Lober
Planning Commission recommends to the Town Board to grant the
variances to Robert Hathaway, Pat and Paul Lober. 1795 Bush Ave.
St. Paul, MN. 55119. Lots 21, 225 23 and 24, Erick,son's
Addition. To construct a 28 X 32 garage. Closer to the
road than the house, 25 feet from the road right away. With
the color of the garage siding be as similar as possible
to that on the house. Amendment that garage doors not face
the road. Pratt made a motion to accept with correction
of garage size 28 X 30 feet. Nickelson seconded and adopted.
Robert Bullock
Planning Commission recommends to the Town Board to grant the
variance to Robert Bullock, 23269 Lofton Court, Scandia, Mn.
Lot 5, Sandgren Addition. To grant the variance for a two
story addition. On condition the two story house be limited
to 2 bedrooms. Reasons: Based on the number of two story
homes in the area. This is not a further enroachment to
the lake. Nordin made a motion to accept. Ostlund seconded
and adopted.
Outlot E On Goose Lake Woods
Nickelson made a motion to pert Outlot E on Goose Lake
Woods. Pratt seconded and adopted.
