The regular monthly meeting of New Scandia Town Board was called
to order by Chairman Russell Jackson. Present were: Nordin,
Pratt, Ostlund, Nickelson and Jackson.
Nordin made a motion to accept the minutes for 11/13/90, 11/20/90
and 12/4/90. Pratt seconded and adopted.
Ostlund made a motion to accept treasurers report. Nickelson
seconded and adopted.
Fire Chief Steve Spence
Nickelson made a motion to purchase a automatic reverse on all
the garage doors at the Fire Hall. Pratt seconded and adopted.
Township Engineer Mark Kasma
Mr. Mark Kasma reported the final payment for Maxwill Avenue road
construction will be submitted for paymemt in January. Mr. Kasma
questioned if the board wanted the engineering firm to draw plans
for the complete project of Oakhill Road from Highway 97 to
228th Street. Mr. Kasma was informed to do the entire project.
Mr. Kasma reviewed the possible turn around on 182nd Street
and informed the board he would complete the road inventory
for the township.
LaVavne Dupslaff Wilson/Thorson Land Exchange
Ostlund made a motion to accept the concept approval presentated
by Mr. Dupslaff and Mr. Wilson with stipulation they meet with
the County Engineer for approval of the intersection on County
15 A. Pratt seconded and adopted.
Mr. Paul Brown Turn Around on 182nd Street
Mr. Brown expressed his concern about the turn around on 182nd
Street and his desire to keep the property the township would
like to acquire for a turn around. Mr. Brown stated the appraisal
was to low for the land. Mr. David Hebert would review the
possibility of vacating 182nd Street and then the road would
become private. Ostlund made a motion to table any decision
on 182nd Street turn around until February Town Board meeting.
Nickelson seconded and adopted.
Bud HODkins Minor Subdivision
Ostlund made a motion to grant Mr. Hopkins concept approval of
the subdivision sketch in Section 6, so Mr. Hopkins can proceed
to have this surveyed and prepare Minor Subdivision drawings.
Nordin seconded and adopted.

Signature of Proposed Cancellation Of Purchase Agreement Of
Outlot E In Goose Lake Woods Plat
Pratt made a motion to sign the agreement to cancel the land
purchase agreement between New Scandia Township and Howard
Hawkinson. This agreement was agreed upon at the special
town board meeting December 4, 1990. Ostlund seconded
and adopted.
Hawkinson Business Park Road
Pratt made a motion to accept the Hawkinson Business Park
road with the agreement the developer shall remedy the utility
problem by June 1, 1991. Nickelson seconded and adopted.
Zoller Tree Removal and Trimming
Ostlund made a motion to accept the proposal from Zoller Tree
Removal and Trimming and consider this at a later time with
other proposals.
Firemans Ball Beer License
Nordin made a motion to sign the beer license for the Firemans
Ball on February 23, 1990. Pratt seconded and adopted.
Park Fee For Minor Subdivision
Nickelson made a motion to amend the Subdivision Ordinance to
amend the Minor Subdivision Section 903.03 that park fees on a
per lot basis be changed from $75.00 to $200.00. Pratt seconded
and adopted.
Amending Section 910 of Ordinance 23
Pratt made a motion to adopt Ordinance 34 amending Seciton 910
of Ordinance 23 to read as printed. Ostlund seconded the motion
and adopted.
Pratt made a motion to pay bills for December, 1990. Nordin
seconded and adopted.
Nordin made a motion to adjourn. Nickelson seconded and adopted.
