On the above date New Scandia Planning Commission held their
regular monthly meeting. Members Jackson, Hawkinson, Nordin,
Pratt were present. Absent: Ostlund.
Planning Commission recommends to the Town Board to deny the
request for rezone of agricultural to commercial of applicant
Naturally Good Market (Ginny Wolner) 21080 Olinda Trail North
Scandia, MN. Owner Richard Eisenreich 21420 St. Croix Trail,
Scandia, Mn and Francis Mohs 23845 Granada St. Forest Lake,
Mn 55025. NW -4 of SW4, Section 18, Township 32, Range 19 and
that part of NW -14 of SW -2, Section 18, Township 32, Range 19.
The issue is to permit a specific concept or business. Therefore
do not feel this rezone is in the public interest, but is only
the interest of the property owner, who has reasonable use of
the property under current zoning.
