On the above date New Scandia Planning Commission held their
regular monthly meeting. Members of the Town Board, Russell
Jackson, Charles Nordin, Howard Hawkinson, Beverly Pratt
and Kenneth Ostlund were present.
Scandia Farm and Home Conditional Use Permit
Planning Commission recommends to the Town Board to grant the
Conditional Use Permit for Scandia Farm and Home (Ernie Vaala),
14860 Scandia Trail North, Scandia, MN. Part of Lot 21 and
part of Lot 2, County Auditors Plat No. 6. Contingent the
septic system is adequate and meets code. Hawkinson made a motion
to accept. Pratt seconded and adopted.
James Schneider Conditional Use Permit for Mini Mall
Planning Commission recommends to the Town Board to grant the
Conditional Use Permit to applicant James Schneider, 13877 195th St.,
Marine, Mn. Owner Michael Peterson, 18911 Newgate, Marine, Mn.
Lot 1, Block 1, Hawkinson Business Park. With the following
conditions: A landscaping plan must be submitted and approved.
The Architectural Control Committee must review the building
plans and landscape plans. Ostlund made a motion to accept.
Hawkinson seconded and adopted.
Sherwood Acres Plat
Planning Commission recommends to the Town Board to approve the
final pkat for Sherwood Acres. Owner Ellen Farver, 15169 Scandia
Trail, Scandia, Mn. Section 23, Township 32, Range 20. As per
development agreement with the township. The agreement shall
include the 20 foot drainage and utility easement on Lot 1, Blk 1
and Outlot A shall be deeded to the township. Pratt made a motion
to accept with the following: Contingent on a satisfactory
development agreement and a letter of credit for blacktop of
road for 125% amount of cost of blacktop. Ostlund seconded and
adopted.
Dresel Minor Subdivision
Planning Commission recommends to the Town Board the Minor Sub-
division for Bruce Dresel, 8865 James Court, Chisago City, MN
55013. That part of E2 of NE -14 of NE4 of Section 18, Twsp. 32,
Range 20 West. That part of N2 of NW -4 of Section 17, Twsp. 32.
On condition drainage easements should be dedicated around ponds
and utility easements. 33 feet from the center of the roadway
should be dedicated to the township for road purposes. A culvert
at the driveway on Lot C. Hawkinson made a motion to accept.
Ostlund seconded and adopted.
