On the above date New Scandia Planning Commission held their
regular monthly meeting. Members Russell Jackson, Howard
Hawkinson, Beverly Pratt, Kenneth Ostlund and Charles Nordin
of the Town Board were also present.
Clyde Saari Minor Subdivision
Planning Commission recommends to the Town Board to grant the
Minor Subdivision to Clyde Saari, 22351 St. Croix Trail, Scandia,
Mn. 55073. That part of NE -4 of SE -4 of Section 12, Township 32,
Range 20 West. With the following stipulation: that neither
parcel be sub -divided. The following amendment was added.
The diversion in water and sediment control basin be constructed
as per letter of May 21, 1990 from the Minnesota Soil and
Water Conservation for Parcel A. Motion made to add 2nd amendment.
Planning Commission recommends to the Town Board they find that
the erosion problem maybe exacerbated further by this subdivision.
Nordin made a motion to table this motion until the June 19, 1990
Town Board meeting. This motion was not seconded. Nordin
withdrew his motion.
Pratt made a motion to accept. Hawkinson seconded and adopted.
Tom Boesel
Planning Commission recommends to the Town Board to grant the
Conditional Use Permit for Tom Boesel, 16360 209th St. Scandia,
Mn. 55073_ Part of NW -2 of NW -4, Section 19, Township 32, Range
19. On condition the truck and equipment be stored in a garage
or behind adequate screening. This permit shall be renewed
on a yearly basis.

Ostlund made a motion to accept. Hawkinson seconded Pratt
added the following to the motion: No fertilizers or
chemicals shall be stored on the property. Hawkinson seconded
the addition. Motion adopted.
Citation T. V.
Planning Commission recommends to the Town board to grant a
Conditional Use Permit to applicant Citation Cable System,
P.O. Box 12, Cambridge, MN 55008. Owner Myron Lindgren,
15040 Old Marine Trail, Marine, MN 55047. The SE4 of NE4 of
Section 35, Township 32. To construct and operate a tower
on the Myron Lindgren property. On condition they adhere
to the Washington County Ordinance Number 53, Section 2 and
the Conditional Use Permit be for 5 years. Nordin made
a motion to accept with the addition that this land must
be leased and not purchased.' Hawkinson seconded and adopted.
Richard Stright
Planning Commission recommends to the Town Board to grant
the Conditional Use Permit for Richard Stright, 22770 Pennfield,
Scandia, MN 55073. Part of N2 of NW -4 of Section 12, Township 32.
For a apartment for rental property. This permit shall be
renewed yearly. Pratt made a motion to accept. Ostlund
seconded and adopted.
James O'Hara
Planning Commission recommends to the Town Board to grant
the application for variance's to James O'Hara, 9505 207th St.
Forest Lake, MN 55025_ Part of Lot B, Block 1, Sandgren Addition.
Lot size 5 acres to 3_2 acres. Road frontage 300 ft. to 245 ft.
Reason: This would not alter the residental character of the
locality and that both parcels be combined on one deed. Hawkinson
made the motion to accept. Ostlund made the following amendment.
That the Townshipr.equire, a 33 ft. road easement in front of the
property on Lofton Court. Pratt seconded the amendment. Nordin
seconded the complete motion with the amendment and adopted.
Harry Nora
Planning Commission recommends to the Town Board that permission
be denied to vary from the variance for Mr. Harry Nora, Lakamaga
Trail, Marine, Mn. which was granted May 1988. Reason: Reasonable
use of the property. Not demostrated a hardship from this
ordinance. The Town Board took no action and would view the site.
Plannin3z Reviews
Planning Commission recommends to the Town Board to adopt and
publish a policy for planning reviews. That New Scandia
Township office must have complete application and all support-
ing information at Least 3 weeks prior before the Public Hearing
to be placed on the agenda. Hawkinson made a motion to accept.
Ostlund seconded and adopted.
