The regular monthly meeting for New Scandia Township was called
to order by Chairman Russell Jackson. Members present were:
Jackson, Nordin, Ostlund, Pratt and Hawkinson.
Hawkinson made a motion to accept the clerks minutes as
presentated for June 19, 1990 and July 3, 1990. Ostlund seconded
and adopted.
Ostlund made a motion to accept treasurers report with balance
on hand for the amount of $74,426.52. Nordin seconded and
adopted.
Mary Lou Simonson Chief of Police
Mrs. Simonson introduced Howard Anderson with White Bear
Animal Control and Management. Mrs. Simonson informed the
board for the need of contracting for animal control. Pratt
made a motion for a temporary service for one month and Mr.
Anderson provide cost estimates at the August board meeting
and at which time the board will make a decision pertaining
to this matter. Hawkinson seconded and adopted.

Ostlund made a motion a 28 foot top be required for Oren Road.
Hawkinson seconded and adopted. Ostlund made a motion to approve
plans and specifications submitted by Charles Wetzler Township

Engineer and advertise for bids and opening of bids for August
7, 1990. Pratt seconded and adopted.
Maxwill Avenue
Nordin made a motion Charles Wetzler Township Engineer prepare
the change order for Maxwill Avenue and present the contract
at the Planning Commission meeting August 7, 1990. Ostlund
seconded and adopted.
Blacktop Proiect 1989
Final payment for Blacktop Project 1989 will be reviewed at
the Planning Commission meeting August 7, 1990.
182nd Street Turnaround
Hawkinson made a motion to hire an appraiser for a appraisal
of the strip of land for 182nd Street for a turnaround.
Ostlund seconded and adopted.
Bracht Pit
Nordin made a motion to extend the mining permit for Bracht
Pit until the August 17, 1990 Town Board meeting. Hawkinson
seconded and adopted.
Richard Burton Minor Suddivision
Pratt made a motion to accept the Planning Commission recommendation
of July 3, 1990 for a Minor Subdivision for owner Kenneth Frieburg
12636 182nd Street, Marine, MN and applicant Richard Burton
7725 Cayenne Plaza, Woodbury, MN 55125. To subdivide .3 acres
from a parcel 3.2 acres to Lot 9, Big Lake View 3rd Addition.
The property must be combined on one deed. Ostlund seconded and
adopted.
Taco License (Bees)
Hawkinson made a motion to sign the beer license for Taco Days.
Nordin seconded and adopted.
Part Time Work (Marvin Sandgren)
Nordin made a motion to hire Marvin Sandgren part time to do
brushing for the township. Pratt seconded and adopted.
Pratt made a motion to pay July bills. Nordin seconded and
adopted.
Hawkinson made a motion to adjourn. Pratt seconded and adopted.
