New Scandia Town Board meet at 7:00 p.m. Following board
members were present. Jackson, Pratt, Ostlund and Nordin.
Absent: Hawkinson.
Charles Wetzler reviewed the plans for Oren Road with the
board and interested parties on Oren Road. Mr. Wetzler
would have the plans ready for the Town Board meeting on
July 17, 1990.
Maxwill Avenue
Ostlund made a motion not to award the bid for Maxwill Avenue
and to act on this at the July 17, 1990 Board Meeting. As the
board is waiting the approval from the Department of Natural
Rescourses, Corps of Engineer and Carnelian Marine Watershed.
Nordin seconded and adopted.
New Scandia Planning Board 7:30 p.m. July 3,1990
On the above date New Scandia Planning Commission held their
regular monthly meetng. Members Russell Jackson, Beverly
Pratt, Kenneth Ostlund and Charles Nordin were present.
Absent: Howard Hawkinson.
Daniel Hage and Bruce Ives
Planning Commission recommends to the Town Board approval of
the application by Daniel Hage, 3955 Snelling, Minneapolis,
Mn. 55406 and owner Bruce Ives 2425 llth Ave. South, Minneapolis,
Mn. 55404. Part of Gov. Lot 3, Section 5, Township 32, Range
20 West. The following variance. Lot size 5 acres to 1.2
acres to construct a dwelling. On contingent all set backs
are met and the garage is attached to the house. The cabin
be removed prior to building of home. Nordin made a motion
to accept. Pratt seconded and adopted.
Richard Burton Minor Subdivision
Richard Burton applicant 7725 Cayenne Plaza, Woodburdy, Mn. and
owner Kenneth Frieburg 12636 182nd St. Marine, Mn. 55047 a
Minor Subdivision to add .3 acres from a parcel 3.2 acres
to Big Lake View 3rd Addition. The legal for .3 acres is
part of Govt. Lot 5, Section 33, Township 32. This subdivision
would be an asset to the neighborhood and condition that a
development agreement be drafted to combine the 2 parcels
on one deed,. Ostlund made a motion to table this motion
until there is a decision on the 66 foot strip of right
away to the north. Pratt seconded and adopted.

Steve Tomnitz
Planning Commission recommends to the Town Board to grant
the variance for Steve Tomnitz 21360 Oren Ave. North, Scandia,
Mn. Lots 3,4,5 and 6 Scandia Addition. Side yard variance
to the south 25 ft. to 16 ft. to constuct a garage. Pratt
made a motion to accept. Nordin seconded and adopted.
Section 505 of Scandia Zoning Ordinance Conditional Use Permit
The Planning Board and Town Board reviewed Section 505 of the
Zoning Ordinance regarding Conditional Use Permit renewals.
Most Conditional Use Permits will reviewed every 5 years
with an exception of Grant Wheaton 14670 Scandia Trail, Small
Engine Repair. James Schneider 13877 195th St. Hawkinson
Business Park, Mini Mall. Jean Womack 456 South Shore Drive
Forest Lake, Mn. Transmission Repair. Jill Christensen 23310
