September 4, 1990
Planning Commission held their
following members of the Town
Nordin, Pratt and Ostlund.
Planning Commission recommends to the Town Board to grant the
Minor Subdivision to Richard Lund applicant 11939 Scandia
Trail, Scandia, Mn. and owner Carl Lund 11780 Scandia Trail,
Scandia, Mn. Part of the SE4 of Section 17, Township 32, Range
20 West, on the following conditions:
1. Soil testing be approved on both parcels A & B.
2. No access to parcel B on Highway 97.
3. A development agreement be entered into with the
township, allowing one additional subdivision for
the duration of the Agricultural Preserve Agreement.
4. Lowest building floor elevation be 3 feet above
the high water elevation of ponds, to be determined
by elevation line between the high land and low hand
vegetation.
Ostlund made a motion to accept. Nordin seconded and adopted.
Clifford Schlenker Minor Subdivision
Planning Commission recommends to the Town Board to grant the
Minor Subdivision to Clifford Schlenker, 15210 Oakhill Road
North, Scandia, Mn. Part of Lot 48 Auditors Plat No. #6.
Part of NE -4 of SE -4 of Section 23, Township 32, Range 20 and
part of SW4 of NW4 and NW4 of SW -14 of Section 24, Township 32,
Range 20. To divide approximately 33 acres into 2 parcels
of B-1 into 10 acres and B-2 into 23 acres c-ontingent on
soil tests. Approval from Washington County Department of
Public Works for road entrance on Oakhill and that 60 feet
from the center line be conveyed to the County for road
easement prior to deed conveyance. Pxatt:,made a motion to
accept. Ostlund seconded and adopted.
Charles Wilke Variance
Planning Commission recommends to the Town Board to grant the
following variances to Charles Wilke Jr. 3842 McMeneny Road,
Vadnais Heights, Mn. 55027. Lot size 12 acres to 28,500 sq. ft.
Lake setback 100 ft. to 68 ft_ Road setback 40 feet to 30
feet. The variances are on condition that a proper septic
system be designed and approved and drainage to lake not be
obstructed. Ostlund made a motion to table the Planning
Commission recommendation. Pratt seconded and adopted.
Untill the recommendations of Dennis O'Donnell's letter of Aug.
Robert Kastner Variance's 29th, 1990 have been addressed.
Planning Commission recommends to the Town Board to approve
the variances for Robert Kastner 18420 Norell Ave. Marine, MN
55047. Lots 11 and 12 Erickson's 2nd Addition. Lot size
12 acres to 28,500 sq. ft. Mr. Kastner must keep the 10 feet
side yard set back. Garage siding mus`"match the house. The
side yard set back was deined, because the landowner has a
adequate use of the property with a 10 feet side yard set
back and will not create a hardship for Mr. Kastner. Amend
the motion to app -rove variance for garage closer to the road
then the house. Nordin made a motion to accept. Ostlund
seconded and adopted.
Gerald Brott Minor Subdivision
Planning Commission recommends to the Town Board to grant
the Minor Subdivision to Gerald Brott co owner % Joel
Anderson 2150 3rd Street, White Bear Lake, MN 55110 and
Nancy Brott Eggers 19860 Manning Trail, Marine, MN 55047.
The E. 934 feet of the S. 934 feet of the N2 of the NW -4 of
Section 30, Township 32 North, Range 20 West. To subdivide
a 20 acre parcel into a 6.4 acre parcel and 13.6 acre parcel.
Approval on the following conditions: 60 feet from the centerline
for road purposes be quit claim deed to Washington County.
Soil testing is approved. Number and size of accessory
buildings are reduced to conform with the ordinance standards
and the building designated "chicken house" on survey be
removed. Pratt made a motion to accept. Ostlund seconded and
adopted.
The clerk was instructed to contact the Search Appraiser Company
to appraise Outlot E in the Goose Lake Woods.
Town Celebration Beer License
Nordin made a motion to sign the beer license for dance for
Town Celebration October 13, 1990. Pratt seconded and adopted.
