On the above date New Scandia Planning Commission held the regular
monthly meeting. Members of the Town Board present were: Russell
Jackson, Charles Nordin, Duane Thompson, Paul Rasmussen and
Kevin Nickelson.
David Houghton Variance
Planning Commission recommends to the Town Board to grant the
variance to David Houghton 23580 Melanie Trail. Lots 6, 13 and
14 Losinger Lakeview Addition for an addition which is already
constructed. The building exceeds the allowablel,000 square
feet. To approve the lot size as this hardship is mitigeted by
the presence of buildings larger than this on either side of his
property. The original garage has been attached to the house,
and the total out building size is now 1,300 square feet.
Nickelson made a motion to accept. Jackson seconded . Nickelson
yes, Nordin, yes, Thompson, yes, Jackson, yes and Rasmussen, no.
Motion adopted.
Robert Nelson Hearin
The Robert Nelson hearing was tabeled until the rescheduled
Planning Commission for October 27, 1992 at 7:30 p.m.
Nancy Duncan`
Planning Commission recommends to the Town Board to grant the
Conditional Use Permit for.Nancy Duncan,12233 Mayberry Trail
North, Marine, MN 55047. Part Govt. Lot 2, Section 20, Twsp.
32, Range 20. To operate a home business described as Service
By Computer. Provided there are no signs placed on the property
regarding the business.
Rasmussen made a motion to accept with the addition this perm -it
shall be reviewed for renewal in 2 years;. Thompson seconded
and adopted.
Town Board Meetin
Mark Kasma Township Engineer Blacktop Project 1992
Mark Kasma reported his concerns with W.B. Miller as they have
not completed the seeding and erosion problems in conjunction
with the 1992 Blacktop Project. Mr. Kasma would send Mr. Miller
a letter stating W.B. Miller must have this seeding started
by October 14, 1992 or the township will hire another contractor.
Lofton Court
Thompson made a motion Mark Kasma shall order surveying and
proceed with requiring easements for a 2 car width specifications
and grades for Lofton Court. Mr. Kasma shall also contact
Curt Sparks of the Forest Lake Watershed regarding the spill —way.
Nickelson seconded and adopted.
Peter Quandt
Mr. Quandt was requesting a wavier of an easement as he now
owns both parcels of property that he was referring about.
This property is on Quinten. The board was concerned about
a turn around for the grader and would view this property.
Olinda Estates Development Agreement
Thompson made a motion to sign the Development Agreement for
Olinda Estates. Rasmussen seconded and adopted.
The Town Board and Planning Commission reviewed the Comprehensive
Plan due to the time required for this matter, Nickelson made
a motion to reconvene this meeting to October 27, 1992 at 7:30
p.m. at the scheduled Planning Commission meeting and publish
pages 28 to 33 of the Comprehensive Plan in the Country
Messenger. Thompson seconded and adopted.
