On the above date New Scandia Planning Commission held their
regular monthly meeting. Present from the Town Board were:
Russell Jackson, Beverly Pratt, Kevin Nickelson and Charles
Nordin.
Fred Riermann Conditional Use Permit
Planning Commission rec-ommends to the Town Board to grant the
Conditional Use Permit to Fred Riermann, 20211 Maxwill Avenue
Marine, MN 55047. Lot 7, Block 1, Hawkinson Business Park.
For a Mini Storage Building according to plans dated 2/5/92 and
according to conditions listed by Washington County. A set
of plans would be made available to the Fire Department. No 7
on letter from Washington County shall be governed by the
Town Board and Washington County. Pratt made a motion to
table the decision for March 17, 1992 Town Board meeting.
Thompson seconded and adopted.
Hildina Nelson
Planning Commission recommends to the Town Board approval of the
request for variance for Hilding and Carol Nelson, 21351 Olinda
Trail, Scandia, MN. Part of Lot 2, County Auditor Plat No. 6.
To sell existing dwelling on one acre + in R-1 zoning. This
is a existing lot and makes a better looking plat. In the
future density of the plat will be the same and when this
becomes a plat there shall be 4 lots. The lot has a an approved
back up septic system. Pratt made a motion to accept. Thompson
seconded and adopted.
Darrell Shaw
Planning Commission recommends to the Town Board to grant the
variance to Darrell Shaw, 13080 182nd Street, Marine, MN. 55047.
Lot 8 Big Lake View. Variance's of lot size 12 acres required
to 1.1 acres existing. Lake setback 100 feet to 42 feet on
condition that an alternate septic site be approved. The home
shall have no more then 3 bedrooms. The addition will not
extend closer to the lake then the present deck. Nickelson
made a motion, Thompson seconded and adopted.
Peterson Excavatin
Planning Commission recommends to the Town Board to approve
the Conditional Use Permit to Peterson Excavating Operation
18911 Newgate, Marine, MN. 55047. Lot 5 Block 1 Hawkinson
Business Park. To construct office/shop and all plans
and specifications be approved by the Architectural Review
Committee. Subject to the following: Grading development
and landscaping to be done in accordance with the approved
plans, including a sediment fence be installed along the
drainage easement boundary at the edge of the graded area.
A sign permit be obtained from Washington County. All protions
of the building be earth tone.Thompson.made.a motion to table
the decision for the March 17, 1992 Town Board meeting.
Nickelson seconded and adopted.

Amendment to New Scandia Zoning Ordinance No. 18
Planning Commission recommends to the Town Board that changes
to the Ordinance No. 18 be accepted pending a Public Hearing and
acceptance by the Town Board.

Richard Tetzlaff Development Agreement
Nordin made a motion to accept the Development Agree:cnent for Richard
Tetzlaff, 23550 Melanie Trail, Scandia, MN 55073. SE4 of NW4
of Section 4, Township 32, Range 20 Thompson seconded and
adopted.
Mike White Easement
Nickelson made a motion to grant a easement in road right -
away on Oak Street for an alternate septic system if needed
provided no reasonable alternative exists at the time this
is required and this shall be no more than 7 feet or less.
Thompson seconded and adopted.
Hazard Elimination Safety Program
Pratt made a motion to sign the Hazard Elimination Safety
Program pertaining to the installation of regulatory and
warning signs/devices under the Federal Highway Administration
and Minnesota Department of Transporation will administer
the program. Nickelson seconded and adopted.
Museum Rental Fee For Antique Show
Nordin made a motion that a fee of $300.00 be charged to
Gammel Garden for the Antique Show in October, 1992.
Thompson seconded and adopted.
Thompson made a motion to adjourn. Nordin seconded and
adopted.
