On the above date New Scandia Planning Commission held their
regular monthly meeting. The following members of the Town Board
were also present: R-ussell Jackson, Charles Nordin, Paul Rasmussen,
Duane Thompson and Kevin Nickelson.
Gunnard Olson Variance
Planning Commission recommends to the Town Board to grant the
approval of variance's for Gunnard Olson 20810 Ingersoll Ave,
Forest Lake, MN 55025. Lot 15, Bliss Plat 2nd Addition. Street
location 18782 Layton Ave, Marine, MN. Lot size 12 acres required
to 9,350 square feet existing. Lot width 150 feet required to
50 feet existing, drainage from garage area to be toward the
south property line. Rasmussen made a motion to accept,
Thompson seconded and adopted.
Charles Wallraff Minor Subdivision
Planning Commission recommends to the Town Board to grant the
Minor Subdivision to Charles Wallraff, 19423 Oxboro Avenue North,
Marine, Mn 55047. Part of the N2 of the SE4 of Section 26, Township
32, Range 20 West. To grant the Minor Subdivision on condition
that the existing buildings be used for personal use or argicultural
only and that the soil tests be approved. Nordin made a motion to
accept the recommendation, Nickelson seconded and adopted.
William St. Sauver Minor Subdivision
Planning Commission recommends to the Town Board to grant the
Minor Subdivision to William St. Sauver, 22010 Ol,dfield Avenue,
Scandia, MN 55073. Part of the E2 of W2 of SW4 of Section 10,
Township 32, North, Range 20 West. On condition of the road
easement for Oakhill and the easement for the drainage ditch
be conveyed prior to the division of the parcel. This is the best
division of the lot in the long term. Thompson made a motion to
accept the recommendation, Rasmussen seconded and adopted.
Olinda Estates Plat (John Peltier)
Olinda Estates (John Peltier)
Planning Commission recommends to the Town Board final plat approval
for Olinda Estates for John Peltier 9726 Scandia Trail, Forest Lake,
MN 55025. The North 410.36 feet of the 2, County Auditors Plat
No. 6 and the E. 407.00 feet of said Lot 2, except the North 410.36
feet thereof; and the South 655 feet of the West 93 feet of Lot 1,
County Auditors Plat No. 6. Final plat approval as presentated
dated 7/6/92. Subject to condti.ons set forth in letter from the
Township Engineer. Nordin made a motion to accept with the following
additions: A Title Opinion must be filed. Conditions of the
Development Agreement be applied. The letter of credit be reviewed
by the Township Engineer. Rasmussen seconded and adopted.
Charles Benson
Mr. Benson is requesting a change in the variance which was denied
at the June Planning Commission meeting. Mr. Benson was scheduled
for a hearing in August.
John Fralev(Eko Backen)
The John Fraley was tabled until the August Planning Commission
meeting pending a detailed scale drawing of the site of the
proposed additions and the following conditions addressed:
1. Presentation and approval of a plan to muffel the sound
from the water slide generator.
2. Resoultion of any question regarding the fencing of parking
lot re -the earth berm.
3. Pending resoultion of any remaining issues pertaining
to road (driveway) width.
GreRR Hawkinson Variance Hearin
The Public Hearing for Mr. Hawkinson will be held on the August
Planning Commission meeting.
