01-11-94 special tbJanuary 11, 1994 On the above date New Scandia Town Board held a special meeting to review job descriptions, salaries and range scale for the positions: Manual Laborer, Treasurer Bookkeeper, Maintenance Laborer,Heavy Equipment Operator and Township Clerk. The clerk presented a proposal for a Administrative Policy. This will be reviewed a later date. The following is a list of the salary range scale, which was completed at the meeting. Job Title Low Med Point High Manual Laborer (Part Time Maintenance) Part Time Permanent Maintenance Laborer Heavy Equipment Operator Treasurer (Bookkeeper) Township Clerk (Clerk Administrator) $6.75 $7.75 $ 8.75 $8.50 $10.00 $11.50 $12.50 $15.00 $17.50 $ 8.50 $10.00 $11.50 $12.75 $15.75 $18.75 The following pay increases were made: Manual Laborer (Part Time Maintenance) Mr. Marvin Sandgren $7.70 per hour. Treasurer (Bookkeeper) $9.50 per 6 month increase and COL $9.75 per hour. Part Time Maintenance Mr. Sherman Granberg $10.65 per hour. Clerk/Clerk Administrator $16.75 per hour. All employees received a COL excluding the Heavy Equipment Operator as Mr. Brian Jemelka's contract shall be reviewed when Washington County's contract has been completed. All new employees shall be reviewed after 6 months completion on the job. page 2 Mr. Russell Jackson made a motion to accept the pay increases for the above township employees and all new township employees shall be reviewed in six (6) months. Mr. Paul Rasmussen seconded the motion. The board discussed the pay increase for Mr. Marvin Sandgren as Mr. Sandgren did not have a six (6) month review and the range between the laborer and maintenance is quite a difference. Mr. Kevin Nickelson made the following amendment to the motion. To increase manual laborer (Marvin Sandgren) to $7.90 per hour due to the fact Mr. Sandgren did not receive a six (6) month review. Mr. Paul Rasmussen seconded the amendment with the above motion and motion adopted. Pav Scale Range Mr. Paul Rasmussen made a motion to adopt the Pay Scale Range for the five (5) positions. The ranges are performance, cost of living, showing low, mid point and high. The ranges to be adjusted annually normally based on cost of living and the salaries for township employees were adjusted on the cost of living, length of service and any discrepancy or inequites and also based on performance.
