A special meeting for the Assessment Hearing of the 1994 Road
Improvement Project was held on the above date. The following
Board Members were present: Charles Nordin, Chairman, Edith
Hadlich, Kevin Nickelson, Paul Rasmussen and Duane Thompson.
The residents voiced questions regarding the project, such as
the late completion date, the poor quality of the work performed
and if the board would charge a penalty to Valley Paving for the
project.
Tim Palmer, Jan Brown, Pam Amundson and Richard Hammond stated
the board should charge a penalty for the project, because of the
late completion. Mr Tom Prew, Township Engineer informed the
citizens that is a board decision.
Edsel Johnson, Parcel 91003-3050
Mr Johnson owns a parcel of land with entrance on Novak and
questioned if this property is sold will the developer have to
pay another assessment. Mr Johnson was informed a developer
would not have another assessment, but the developer would be
responsible for the 225 feet.,of road off of Novak. This parcel
was assessed as this is the only access to this parcel and the
land would be land locked without the access.
Gordon Rydeen, Parcel 91026-2700
Mr Rydeen stated they were assessed for two lots and the property
can not be subdivided, because of the location of the barn. The
board would view the property.
Harvey Lindgren (Nathan Lindgren) Parcel, 91595-2950
Mr Judson D Jones, Attorney representing Mr Lindgren filed a
written objection from Harvey Lindgren to the proposed assessment
and requested for a adjourned hearing. The board will view the
property.
Paul Swenson Parcel 91003-2300 & 2320
Mr Swenson was informed by the town board in 1991 that it would
not be feasible to sell one of his lots and now Mr Swenson is
being assessed for two lots. Mr Swenson was not objecting if at
sometime the parcel without the house would be a saleable lot.
The board will view the site.

Ron Lueck, Parcel 91725-2550 & 2600
Mr Lueck was assessed for two lots and the board would also view
this property.
Robert Johnson Parcel 91002-2760 91002-2770 91725-2250 91725-
2200
Informed the board of problems with his assessment and Mr Johnson
was informed the assessment would be corrected as there had been
an error of the parcel numbers.
Daniel Manthey, Parcel 91027-2050, 91026-2860, 91026-2830
Ms Kraft representing Mr Manthey informed the board he was
assessed for nine assessable units and Mr Manthey felt he could
not subdivide his property into nine sites. The board would
view this site.
Kathy Bense
Kathy Bense, Old Marine Trail stated this project may have the
lowest assessment, but poor quality and informed the board not to
consider engaging Valley Paving for another project.
Jan Brown
Jan Brown, 19690 Orwell Avenue asked about the petition for the
speed limit she had requested around Sand Lake and Old Marine
Trail. Ms Brown was informed the board made a motion not to
request a speed limit on Old Marine Trail. Ms Brown stated all
the residents on Old Marine Trail except one resident had signed
the petition for the speed limit on Old Marine Trail. Paul
Rasmussen requested this item to be on the agenda for the
October 18, 1994 Town Board meeting.
The board would view the above properties on October 18, 1994 at
6:00 P.M. and October 25, 1994 at 10:00 A.M.
The Assessment Hearing will reconvene on November 1, 1994.
