On the above date New Scandia Planning Commission held their
regular monthly meeting. The following Board Members were also
present: Chairman, Charles Nordin, Vice Chairman, Duane
Thompson, Edith Hadlich, Kevin Nickelson and Paul Rasmussen.
WILLIAMSBURG PLAT/WILLIAM WILSON
Planning Commission recommends to the Town Board to grant final
plat approval for Williamsburg Plat with the following
conditions:
(1) Township Engineer approval.
(2) Temporary hammerhead turnaround easement until road
is built.
(3) Development Agreement.
The motion was seconded with the following additions:
(4) Title Opinion
(5) Provision for easement on Lot 3 for Lot 4 put in
Development Agreement.
Edith Hadlich made a motion to accept Planning Commission
recommendations. Duane Thompson seconded the motion. Kevin
Nickelson made the following addition to the motion. To include
the findings of number six (6) in the letter dated, August 8,
1995 from the Forest Lake Watershed Management Organization.
Motion adopted unanimously.
LAWRENCE ENGSTROM MINOR SUBDIVISION
Planning Commission recommends to the Town Board to grant the
Minor Subdivision to Lawrence Engstrom, 14040 185th Street,
Marine, MN 55047. SE 1/4 of NE 1/4 of Section 34, Township 32,
Range 20 on the grounds that it conforms to the lot sizes in the
township zoning ordinance, that the two five acre lots are
buildable with the following conditions:
(1) Normal high water levels be established.
(2) Soil tests be completed
(3) Drainage easements be dedicated around all ponds,
wetlands and creek.

(4) Thirty-three feet from the centerline along 185th
Street be dedicated to the township for road
purposes. This should be for the entire quarter -
quarter section.
Findings are its recording not yet contemplated and if there
are revisions they will be submitted prior to having the deed
recorded.
Paul Rasmussen made a motion to accept the Planning Commission
recommendations. Duane Thompson seconded the motion and motion
adopted unanimously.
WILLIAM ST SAUVER/MINOR SUBDIVISION
Planning Commission recommends to the Town Board to grant the
Minor Subdivision and variance to William St Sauver, 22010
Oldfield, Scandia, MN 55073. That part of the West 330 feet
of the Southwest Quarter lying northerly of the center line of
Oakhill Road North and all that part of said Southwest Quarter of
the Southeast Quarter lying southerly of said line, all in
Section 10, Township 32, Range 20, on grounds that the pump house
is required for the water for the house and the barn is need as a
garage with the following conditions:
(1) Road right of way thirty three feet from the
center line of Oakhill.
(2) Right of way property line on west.
(3) The machine shed be removed by September 1, 1995.
(4) Combine Parcels A, Al and C with adjoining land.
Duane Thompson made a motion to accept the Planning Commission
recommendations. Kevin Nickelson made the following amendment to
the motion:
(1) The Town Board does not see the pump house as a
accessory building. The pump house is 240 square
feet and is part of the dwelling, so the variance
for the square footage is only in the excess of
thirty four (34) square feet on the barn.
(2) Extension removal of machine shed for September 1,
1996 to January 1, 1997.
Motion was adopted unanimously.
