The regular monthly meeting was called to order by Chairman,
Charles Nordin. The following Board Members were present:
Chairman, Charles Nordin, Vice Chairman, Duane Thompson, Edith
Hadlich, Kevin Nickelson and Paul Rasmussen.
Interview Date For Maintenance Person
The date of July 9, 1996 at 7:00 p.m. was set for interviews of
candidates for the Maintenance Person vacancy. It was also
agreed to interview each applicant.
Letter Regarding Ditch Drainage On Melanie and Meadowbrook
A letter was reviewed regarding the ditch drainage on Melanie and
Meadowbrook from the Bone Lake Coordinator, Cal Floerke._ The
letter stated the ditch cleaning and draining of the wetland has
set back the water quality of the lake two to three years. The
board did not agree with the set back of the water quality, but
agreed to send a letter to the Bone Lake Association, stating
it was appropriate to clean the ditch, but that a way should have
been found to slow the discharge of the water into Bone Lake. The
town board directed Mr David Hebert to send a letter of
explanation to the Bone Lake Association.
Playground Equipment
Kevin Nickelson made a motion to purchase playground equipment
in the amount of $9723.00 plus tax and shipping. Edith Hadlich
seconded the motion and motion adopted unanimously.
Northern States Power Gas Main Permits
Paul Rasmussen made a motion to sign permits for gas mains for
Northern States Power on the following streets in the township:
205th Street west of Maxwill and 220th Street and Kirk Avenue
within the Williamsberg Plat. Edith Hadlich seconded the motion
and motion adopted unanimously.
Study By Minnesota Extension Service
Mr Kevin Nickelson reported that Minnesota Extension Service
would consider a study of a certain area in the township,
preferably in the proximity of the uptown area, regarding
development. A meeting will be held on July 8, 1996 and Mr
Nickelson and Mr Blair,J- n would attend.
