11-06-96 tbNovember 6, 1996 The regular monthly meeting of the Town Board was called to order by Chairman, Charles Nordin. The following Board Members were present: Charles Nordin, Chairman, Duane Thompson, Vice Chairman, Edith Hadlich, Kevin Nickelson and Paul Rasmussen. Residents Of 205th Street Residents on 205th Street were in attendance regarding the condition of the road and also requesting that 205th Street be included in the 1997 Road Project for bituminous surfacing. The residents were informed that the surface CAD Contracting had hauled on 205th Street did not meet the graduations specifications and CAD Contracting had hauled in rock on 205th Street and they also had been advised the material had to be graded into the surface and the work shall be completed by November 8, 1996. The residents were also informed a motion had been made on September 24,1996 regarding the streets to have bituminous surfacing for the 1997 Road Project and 205th Street was not included in the project and that 205th Street would have to be included in the 1999 Project. It was agreed the clerk would contact the Security State Bank regarding the difference in bonding from $750,000.00 to $900,500.00 and the status of the Road and Bridge Fund, these items will be discussed at the November 19, 1996 board meeting. CRIME PREVENTION SIGNS Duane Thompson made a motion purchase six (6) Crime Prevention Signs at the cost of $21.00 a piece. Paul Rasmussen seconded the motion and motion adopted unanimously. Pay Scale For Watershed Board Meetings A discussion was held regarding the pay scale for representatives on the Forest Lake Water Management Organization. The Joint Powers Agreement had changed and as of July 1, 1996 each entity shall reimburse the representatives serving on the board. The pay scale was $35.00 per meeting. Board members stated the township has a policy for meeting reimbursement for citizens and the amount is $15.00 per meeting. The board stated they would be setting a precinct at $35.00 a meeting. Mr Nickelson stated he represents the township and is paid $50.00 per meeting and the change in the reimbursement makes him feel uncomfortable. Paul Rasmussen made a motion to reimburse persons serving on the Forest Lake Water Management Organization the rate of $15.00 per meeting. Duane Thompson seconded the motion. Edith Hadlich, page 2 Charles Nordin, Paul Rasmussen and Duane Thompson voted yes, Kevin Nickelson opposed. Motion adopted. Plowing Bone Lake Estates It was agreed the township would plow the Bone Lake Estates Plat as of this date. State Disposal System Permit Edith Hadlich made a motion to sign the State Disposal System Permit in the Bliss Addition. Kevin Nickelson seconded the motion and motion adopted unanimously.
