New Scandia Town Board meeting was called to order by Chairman Dennis Seefeldt. The follows
Board Members were also present: Dennis Seefeldt, Chairman, Paul Rasmussen, Vice Chairman,
Robert Jensen, Kevin Nickelson, and Bruce McConoughey.
Robert Jensen made a motion to adjourn the Town Board meeting and reconvene after the
Planning Commission meeting. Bruce McConoughey seconded the motion and the motion
was adopted unanimously.
Cooperative Agreement with Minnesota for Purchase of Equipment
Kevin Nickelson made a motion to purchase the cooperative agreement with the State of
Minnesota for the purchasing of equipment. Paul Rasmussen seconded the motion and the
motion was adopted unanimously.
Scandia/Marine Lions Request for Assistance with Tree/Brush Removal
Robert Jensen made a motion to give the Scandia/Marine Lions $600.00 to share in the cost
of tree and brush removal from the summer storms at the Lions Park on Highway 97 and
Oakhill Road. Kevin Nickelson seconded the motion and the motion carried with Kevin
Nickelson, Paul Rasmussen, Bruce McConoughey and Robert Jensen voting yes, an*Dennis
Seefeldt voting no.
Storm Damage on Lakamaga Trail
Due to storm damage in June, there are many trees in the ditch on Lakamaga Trail. Kevin
Nickelson indicated the Township has an agreement with Helke Tree Service to clean up roadside
trees. Robert Jensen requested a projected cost be obtained from Helke for the job.
Ken Kopka — Variance
Dennis Seefeldt made a motion to reconsider the variance request for Ken Kopka. Paul
Rasmussen seconded the motion and the motion was adopted unanimously. The Town Board
would like to go out and inspect the site and talk alternatives with Mr. Kopka. A on site meeting
was scheduled for Tuesday, November 17, at 3:00 p.m.
The November 17 Town Board meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. to consider applications for the
Road and Park Committees.
Paul Rasmussen made a motion to adjourn, Robert Jensen seconded the motion and the
meeting adjourned.
