The regular monthly meeting was called to order by Chairman,
Dennis Seefeldt. The following Town Board Members were also
present: Dennis Seefeldt, Chairman, Paul Rasmussen, Vice
Chairman, Robert Jensen, Michael Hinz and Bruce McConoughey.
Public Hearing For Street Vacate/3rd Street Plat of Scandia
A Public Hearing was held to consider that portion of 3rd Street
in the recorded plat of Scandia.
Paul Rasmussen made a motion to approve the Resolution No.
10-05-99-1, for the vacation of that portion of 3rd Street lying
north of the north right-of-way of Highway 97 in the recorded
plat of Scandia. Robert Jensen seconded the motion and motion
adopted unanimously.
Noise Ordinance
Robert Jensen made a motion

Window Community Center
to adopt the Noise Ordinance as
Hebert. Michael Hinz seconded the
Paul Rasmussen made a motion to install a window approximately
4 1/2'x 8' in the existing Community Center at approximate cost
of $1050.00 and the installation cost of $450.00. Bruce
McConoughey seconded the motion and motion adopted unanimously.
Location Of Signs For Community Center and Skating Facility
Paul Rasmussen and Bruce McConoughey were appointed to mark the
location for the signs for Community Center and Skating Facility.
Fred Boesel/Two Foot Overhang
Mr. Fred Boesel questioned the ordinance referring to the two
foot overhang for accessory buildings on residential parcels 5-
19.99 acres in size. Mr. Boesel is building a accessory and felt
this was to large of a overhang for his building.
Michael Hinz would research the overhang footage on accessory
buildings and this item will be discussed at the November 2,
1999, Planning Commission meeting.
New Scandia Township Zoning Map
David Hebert, Attorney reviewed the shoreline overlay on the
zoning map and expressed concerns on the Natural Environment
Lakes.

The township office was directed to contact the following persons
to attend a meeting on October 13, 1999 at a.m.: Meg McMonigal,
Planner, Bruce McConoughey, John Martineau, Dennis Seefeldt,
Blair Joselyn and Kevin Nickelson.
Striping Of Roads In Bliss Area
Residents living in the Bliss Area on Big Marine Lake questioned
why the township did not stripe the roads and wanted the roads
striped for safety reasons. It is the township policy not to
stripe the non -collector roads and if the township would stripe
the roads in that area then the township have to stripe all non -
collector roads.
Todd Drescher/Mark Sandercott
Mr. Drescher presented plans for a barn to be built on Bluffs of
East Bay. Mr. Sandercott has purchased three lots in the
subdivision with a total of 27 acres and Mr. Sandercott wanted
permission to build the barn before the primary dwelling.
Mr. Drescher and Mr. Sandercott were informed about the Township
Ordinance stating that no accessory buildings may be built before
the primary dwelling.
Gas Main For NSP
Paul Rasmussen made a motion to approve the installation of
a gas main for Northern States Power on Parrish off of Olinda
Trail upon approval of Township Engineer. Robert Jensen seconded
the motion and motion adopted unanimously.
Paul Rasmussen made a motion to adjourn, Robert Jensen seconded
the motion. Meeting adjourned.
