1-04-00 tb,pcJanuary 4, 2000 On the above date New Scandia Township Planning Commission held their regular monthly meeting. The following Board Members were also present: Dennis Seefeldt, Chairman, Paul Rasmussen, Vice Chairman, Kevin Nickelson, Michael Hinz and Robert Jensen. Mitchell and Kim Ammerman Planning Commission recommends to the Town Board to deny the 80 foot variance request to Mitchell and Kim Ammerman, 22950 Lofton Avenue, Scandia, MN. Lot 9, Block 1 of Nielsen Lake Estates. On the grounds that there is no legal reason, there is no precedent, and the granting would impact adversely the neighboring property. Findings are the property can be put to reasonable use without a variance. Kevin Nickelson made a motion toapprove the Planning Commission recommendations to deny the variance request for Mitchell and Kim Ammerman. Robert Jensen seconded the motion and motion adopted unanimously. Amend Township Zoning Ordinance No. 64 Planning Commission recommends to the Town Board to adopt Ordinance No. 66 amending Ordinance No. 64 Chapter Two, Section 9.13 (1)on the grounds that a one -foot overhang is standard and two -foot overhang is more costly. Paul Rasmussen made a motion to approve the Planning Commission recommendation to adopt Ordinance No. 66 amending Ordinance No. 64 Chapter Two, Section 9.13. Michael Hinz seconded the motion and motion adopted unanimously. 201 Connection Policy The Town Board and Planning Commission discussed adopting the County's Policy regarding connecting to the 201 Project for new construction on Big Marine Lake.
