10-02-01 tbOctober 2, 2001 New Scandia Town Board regular meeting was called to order by Vice Chairman, Paul Rasmussen. The following Board Members were present. Michael Hinz and John Martineau. Nancy Madden and Dennis Seefeldt were absent. Lindgren Overlook/Development Agreement John Martineau made a motion to approve the Development Agreement for the Plat of Lindgren Overlook. Michael Hinz seconded the motion and motion adopted unanimously. Community Block Grant Development Grant/Allocations A letter was received from the Chairman of Baytown Town Board reviewing the possibility of pooling the funds into a single allocation and designate a qualifying project (i.e, housing rehabilitation that the qualifying residents could then apply for. This would be an alternative to the townships that had chosen to "turn back" their allocation. With pooling the funds, at least some of the our residents within some of our townships would have an opportunity to take advantage of these funds. It was the consensus of the Town Board that they would favor pooling the funds into a single allocation. Building Inspector Contract A letter was read from Al Goodman, Building Inspector and he will be not renew his contract after December 31, 2001. The Building Inspector Contract was reviewed and the Town Board questioned the last sentence of number 3 under schedule of fees and charges. No action was taken on the contract. Paul Rasmussen made a motion to purchase a desk and chair for the office of the Building Inspector and not to exceed $500.00. John Martineau seconded the motion. John Martineau, yes and Paul Rasmussen, yes. Michael Hinz voted no. Motion adopted. A discussion was held regarding providing a phone and voice mail for the Building Inspector. No action was taken at this matter. Final Payment For Rivard Painting John Martineau made a motion to approve the final payment for Rivard Painting in the amount of $5635.00. Michael Hinz seconded the motion and motion adopted unanimously. Page 2 October 2, 2001 Usage of Old Fire Hall Due to 4-H Groups and Boys Scouts requesting usage of the old Fire Hall there is a need for the building to be painted, carpeting, refrigerator and cleaning. It was agreed the cost of these items would be presented at the October 15, 2001 meeting. Contract/Sycom Dialers For 201 Septic System John Martineau made a motion to contact System Control Services the second low bidder of the autodialer for the 201 Septic System. A letter shall be written to Sycom Dialers stating the bid has been rescinded because of 0% done of the work requested. Michael Hinz seconded the motion and motion adopted unanimously.
