5-15-01 tbMay 15 2001 New Scandia regular Town Board meeting was called to order by Chairman, Dennis Seefeldt. The following Board Members were also present: Vice Chairman, Paul Rasmussen, Nancy Madden, Michael Hinz. John Martineau was absent. CONSENT AGENDA Michael Hintz made a motion to approve the fallowing Consent Agenda; 1. Call to order 2. Clerk's minutes have Preen presented for Town Board 05101101 and 05/01101 Planning Commission 3. Balance March 31, 2001 $841,142.85 Receipts 52,787.69 Expenditures 75,50229 Balance April 30, 2001 $818,428.45 4. Payment of vouchers Nancy Madden seconded the motion and motion adopted unanimously. Capital Improvement Meeting Bate The Capital Improvement meeting date was set for May 29h, at 7:00 p.m. Ann Bancroft Resolution Nancy Madden made a_motion to adopt the resolution prepared by Chairman, Dennis Seef+eldt for Ann Bancroft. Dennis Seefeldt seconded the motion and motion adapted unanimously, Tom Peterson/Township Engineer Tom Peterson reported the township received the Water Quality Grant for the 18 Sth and Norell Project in the amount of $40,000.00. Paul Rasmussen ;made a motion to approve final payment to Peterson Excavating in the amount of $533.21 for connection to the Uptown Sewer System in August of 1999. Michael Hinz seconded the motion and motion adopted unanimously. Dennis Seefeldt made a motion to approve the following buried cable permits for Citizens Communications: 23679 Meadowbrook,12240 238Ih Street,14075 237"' Street,14010 237'h Street,1479"7 Oren Read, 1.9841 Orwell, 2275 IVMeadowbrook and 189"' Street for a new service drop for Lift Station. Nancy Madden seconded the motion and motion adopted unanimously. Page 2 Nancy Madden made a motion to approve the installation of two poles and conductors on the east side of Parrish for Excel Energy. Michael Hinz seconded the motion and motion adopted unanimously. Tom Peterson reported on various road problems within the township and stated these items will be submitted together for quotes this summer. Mr. Peterson suggested that the problem on Oakhill and Oldfield Road with resident's crossing over the road for entrance on Oakhill Road be left as is. The township could place large boulders in the area, but that could be hazardous. Certificate Of No Loss Or Exemption Paul Rasmussen made a motion to sign the Certificate of No Loss or Exemption for Dale Setterholm, 20929 Lofton Avenue North in Section 20. Dennis Seefeldt seconded the motion and motion adopted unanimously. Lindgren Pit On Highway 97 Residents surrounding the Lindgren Pit on Highway 97 were present expressing their concerns regarding the excessive noise from the pit, They also questioned if the Town Board had meet with Mr. Lindgren regarding the problem. The residents were informed that Dennis Seefeldt, Paul Rasmussen and David Hebert meet with Mr. Lindgren and discussed the problems. A letter was sent to Mr. Lindgren and the information in the letter is confidential. The residents were informed to contact Washington County Sheriffs Department when a problem with the noise arises. Exterior Storage and Unlicensed Vehicles It was agreed that New Scandia Town Board meet on Saturday, June 2, 2001 at 9:00 a.m. to view the township and site violations of the following New Scandia Development Code: Chapter Two, Section 9.3 and Section 9.4.
