1-07-03 tbJanuary 7, 2003 The regular New Scandia Township Board meeting was called to order by Chairman, Dennis Seefeldt. The following Board Members were present: Chairman, Dennis Seefeldt, Lisa Crum, Michael Hinz and Nancy Madden. Absent was Vice Chairman, Paul Rasmussen. Lori Huberty/Easement Problems Ms. Huberty was requesting ability to appeal future permit request for a fence or any possible obstruction along the property line located next to her home. Ms. Huberty and Ms. Yehle stated that their neighbor Mr. Joyce is limiting their easement to their property. Mr. Hebert, Township Attorney informed Ms. Huberty that this is a civil problem between neighbors and explained that in old plats these are not public streets. It was agreed that the Township Office inform Dennis O'Donnell, Washington County Land Management and Jon Ludwig, New Scandia Building Official not to issue a permit to Mr. Joyce to install a fence. David Brown/Resignation From Forest Lake Cable A letter of resignation was read from David Brown from Forest Lake Cable Commission and New Scandia Road Committee. Michael Linz made a motion to accept the resignation of David Brown from Forest Lake Cable Commission and New Scandia Road Committee. Nancy Madden seconded the motion and motion adopted unanimously. Year End Vouchers For 2002 Nancy Madden made a motion to approve the year end vouchers for the year of 2002. Lisa Crum seconded the motion and motion adopted unanimously. MichaelHinz/Public Works Department Mr. Hinz reported that he had directed Brian Jemelka to flood the Skating Facility at least two weeks before and he had not completed the task. The Town Board reviewed the work load for the Public Works Department and discussed the issue of writing work that was performed on a daily basis. Nancy Madden made a motion to require Public Works Department to write work performed in a 2 hour time block and that Dennis Seefeldt and Michael Hinz meet with the Public Works Department at 9:00 a.m. on January 81h. Michael Hinz seconded the motion and motion adopted unanimously. Township Planner It was agreed to schedule interviews for the position of Township Planner on January 28"' at 7:00 p.m. New Scandia Town Board January 7, 2003 Page 3 Tree Trimming on Pilar Road The Town Board agreed to direct tree trimming on Pilar Road and to notify residents of the trimming, because of safety reasons and damaging of township equipment.
