3-25-03 wkshMarch 25, 2003 On the above date the New Scandia Town Board and Planning Commission held a Special Workshop Meeting to review items in the Development Code. The following Board Members were present: Chairman, Dermis Seefeldt, Vice Chairman, Paul Rasmussen, Lisa Crum, Michael Hinz and Nancy Madden. The following Planning Commission Members were present: Chairman, Charles Ellis, Vice Chainnan, Chris Ness, Peter Schwarz, James Malmquist and Donnette Yehle. Chapter 2, Section 8.2 Special Requirements for Village Center The following under Special Requirements for Village Center were changed. Sidewalks. Five-foot concrete sidewalks must be provided on at least one side of every street in commercial, industrial and residential developments (location shall be decided based on the location of exiting sidewalks, topography and other considerations as determined by the Town Board). # Lighting. Parking lot and street lighting is required and must match the style, quality and appearance of light fixtures in the historic Village Center. Chapter 2, Section 9.2 (B.) Accessory Structures ® Insert definition of agricultural buildings Chapter 2, Section 12.10 Performance Standards/Neighborhood Siting Standards (II) The following change under Neighborhood Siting Standards (H) ® Neighborhoods shall be separated from adjacent residential property by a clear boundary, comprised of two or more of the following elements: street pattern, marked topographical changes, landscape screening, drainageways, ponds, wetlands, streams, greenways and woodlands. Information Washington County has deleted Number (H) in Chapter Two, Section 12. 10, Neighborhood Standards. Workshop Meeting March 26, 2004 Page 2 Ann Twerdo, Washington County Land Management may be present at the next Workshop Meeting. Ms. Twerdo stated restrictions for the Open Space must be in the Development Agreement or Conservation Easements and that is how you restrict want will be allowed in the Open Space.
