New Scandia Town Board Meeting was called to order by Chairman, Dennis Seefeldt. The
following Board Members were present: Chairman, Dennis Seefeldt, Lisa Crum, Michael Hinz
and Nancy Madden. Absent: Vice Chairman, Paul Rasmussen.
Washington County Soil and Water/Jvneen Thatcher
Ms. Thatcher reviewed the cost share for the Draft Contract/Agreement relating to the
Washington Conservation District's assistance to New Scandia. Township, relating to the Wetland
Conservation Act.
Michael Hinz made a motion to approve and sign the Drat Contract/Agreement with
Washington Conservation District. Lisa Crum seconded the motion and motion adopted
unanimously.
Park and Recreation
Debi Camposbasso reviewed the proposal for a Summer Scandia. Park and Recreation Kids
Program. The first program would be offered for ages 4-6 year olds and would be instructed by
Scandia. resident Marty McKelvey on a volunteer basis. This program would reach 10-25
children this summer. The Park and Recreation recommend funding in the amount of $400.00 for
equipment. The second program would be offered for elementary age children. Part-time leaders
would be hired to implement the program with a program coordinator. This program would reach
60-120 children this summer. Ms. Camposbasso would be interested in coordinating this
program.
Lisa Crum made a motion to fund $3700.00 from the Park Fund for the two Summer
Scandia Park and Recreation Kids Program. Michael Hinz seconded the motion and
motion adopted unanimously.
Terrance Dreyer/Slalom Course
Nancy Madden made a motion to approve the Slalom Course on Bone Lake. Michael Hinz
seconded the motion and motion adopted unanimously.
Connexus Energy
Lisa Crum made a motion to approve the installation of electric cable for Connexus Energy
along Lakamaga Trail beginning at 195"h Street. Michael Hinz seconded the motion and
motion adopted unanimously.
Frontier Communications
Nancy Madden made a motion to approve the buried telephone cable for Frontier
Communication on 236th
Street from the intersection of Oldfield Avenue. Lisa Crum
seconded the motion and motion adopted unanimously.

Citv of Marine Request for Police Coverage on July 3, 2003
Michael Hinz made a motion to authorize New Scandia Township, Deputy Cory Reedy and
the Deputy Vehicle be on duty at the City of Marine on July 3, 2003 from 8:00 p.m. to
midnight. The Fireworks Celebration sponsored by the City of Marine does benefit the
residents of New Scandia Township. Nancy Madden seconded the motion and motion
adopted unanimously.
Scandia Trucking/228th Street
Michael Hinz made a motion to accept the bid quote in the amount of $8583.00 to install a
culvert on 228th
Street. Dennis Seefeldt seconded the motion and motion adopted
unanimously.
Nancy Madden made a motion to adjourn.
