On the above date New Scandia Planning Commission held their regular monthly meeting. The
following New Scandia Town Board Members were present: Vice Chairman Michael Hinz,
Michael Harnetty, Blair Josleyn and Nancy Madden. Absent: Chairman Dennis Seefeldt.
Planning Commission recommends to the Town Board to approve the variances for Earl Poyerd,
19166 Larkspur Avenue North, Marine, MN 55047. Tracts C and D of Registered Land Survey
No. 72. Lot Size from 10 acres to .75 acres and Road Frontage from 160 feet to 150 feet on the
grounds that the plight of landowner is due to the circumstances unique to the property
and not created by the landowner. Conditions are the proposed addition does not exceed the 28 x
36 foot size as shown on the survey, all setbacks are met and the addition does not exceed 35 feet
in height. That parcels be combined under one tax identification number.
Blair Joselyn made a motion to approve the Planning Commission recommendation for
Earl Poyerd. Nancy Madden seconded the motion and motion adopted unanimously.
BRIAN IVERSON-THE SANCTUARY REVISED PLAT CONCEPT
Planning Commission recommends to the Town Board to approve the revised concept Plat of The
Sanctuary with park access.
Nancy Madden made a motion to approve the Planning Commission recommendation for
the Plat of The Sanctuary and direct David Hebert Township Attorney to send a letter to
the William O'Brien Park Manager Bill Anderson the intent for the park access and trail in
the Plat of The Sanctuary. Blair Joselyn seconded the motion and motion adopted
unanimously.
BARRY FARVE WOOLSTON-WILD BUSH ACRES PLAT
The Plat of Wild Bush Acres was presented as revised with Lots 4 and 5 in the first concept be
moved and the houses built in the field to save the Oak Forest located in the plat. No motion was
made by the Planning Commission, but it was the consensus of the Planning Commission and
Town Board that this was acceptable.
