5.f) Staff Report - Street Light Maintenance AgreementStaff Report To: City Council c From: Tim Kieffer, Director of Public Works P57-. Date: February 17, 2015 S /\ DIA / Re: Street Light Maintenance Agreement IJ 171 I 1 1 Background: The City owns street lights along Olinda Trail and Oakhill Road. The lights are the same style used by the City of St. Paul. Therefore, when a street light is damaged, usually from a car, the City of St. Paul performs the repairs. St. Paul previously contracted with Washington County who would then bill the City. The City of St. Paul is requesting a maintenance agreement to continue providing services. There will be no change in service but will streamline the process by eliminating Washington County. Proposal: Staff is recommending a maintenance agreement with the City of St. Paul for street light repairs along Olinda Trail and Oakhill Road. Issue: Should there be a Street Light Maintenance Agreement with the City of St. Paul? Fiscal Impact: The City is charged only for services rendered. Options: 1) Approve the Street Light Maintenance Agreement with the City of St. Paul. 2) Do not approve the Street Light Maintenance Agreement with the City of St. Paul. Recommendation: Option 1 Attachments: Proposed Street Light Maintenance Agreement
