• Comprehensive Plan Update
Project website updated to include status and current draft (https://www.bolton-
menk.com/clients/scandia/index.html)
Plan was distributed to adjacent communities for review 5/31/18.
To date, we have received comments from Washington County, Chisago County,
the School Districts, Rice Creek Watershed District, the National Park Service and
MnDOT. All comments due by 12/1/18.
Plan was submitted to Met Council for preliminary review on 6/14/18. Preliminary review is an
informal review by the Met Council. We received comments on July 17, 2018.
We are working on the language and mapping changes required to add the Rural Mixed Use
category and looking at necessary revisions as a result of Met Council preliminary review comments.
• 2018 Street Project
Weekly/current construction updates are posted on the City’s website, link is:

Contractor has been working on punch list items. Final restoration will be reviewed
in the spring prior to approving work.
Contractor’s Request for Payment No. 6 on agenda as separate business item.
• Miscellaneous
Gateway State Trail Extension
• Met with the DNR/City Staff on 9/6 to discuss scope of work design work from Oakhill (CR
52) underpass crossing up towards to City owned property (14800 Oakhill Road).
• Agreement executed 9/18/19.
• Wetland field work was completed on Nov. 12th, preliminary survey work
started with two crews on Nov. 14th.
• Property owner meetings have been held on 10/31/18 and 11/14/18.
Edell Wetland Restoration
• Wetland restoration project led by CLFLWD was completed on 12990 230th
Street N. Existing wetland is between Moody and Bone Lake. Project was
funded by Clean Water Fund Grant and CLFLWD. The wetland restoration
project is estimated to reduce watershed phosphorus loads to Bone Lake by
50 lbs/year.
2019 – 2023 Washington County Capital Improvement Plan
• Draft comments are shown on next page.
• Comments must be received in writing no later than November 21, 2018 to be considered
when developing the final Capital Improvement Plan. A public hearing will also be held on
December 11, 2018 prior to adopting the final document.
