8.f November Public Works ReportDecember 18th, 2018 Public Works Staff Report – November 2018 Roads and Right – of – way  Mowing – ROW–Brush mowing – started - areas that need tree pruning  Culverts – Marked at Dinosaur Hill /197th, those replaced in 2018 road project marked.  ROW – More debris dumped in the ditch on 240th, Sheriff contacted to check for evidence, dead deer in ditch addressed – not in ROW  Trees – Pruning those in the ROW coming in contact with trucks and maintenance equipment – Ostrum, 191st, 185th, Langley, 196th, Parrish, 220th E. of Hwy 95,  Signs – Road reconstruction areas – Two new sets of signs left – waiting for signs to arrive, stop sign at 197th and Orwell installed  City signs – All completed – two old signs and posts will be removed by contractors in the spring  Fleet – Minor maintenance issues addressed and general maintenance continued  Gravel roads: grit added twice November, Quint– pot hole filling  Construction – Bolton-Menk provided end of year list to be finished 2019  MNDOT ROW – reflective delineators installed – help snowmobilers ID the planting beds  Holiday lights checked and installed  LHL – Grit added twice, port-a-potty removed Sewer – Water:  November ‘18 – sewer samples were taken at Bliss – Pace picks up samples at the PW building – part of their services provided  201 – October monthly DMR completed – ground water report  201 – 18605 Langley Ct. – old tanks being removed and building construction moving forward  Pump readings taken at all stations  Uptown – no issues  Washington Co. monthly sewer report completed  Uptown - Monthly water meter readings completed  Notification from Washington Co. that the septic system construction has ended for the year  10 Gopher One call requests Parks:  Monthly safety checks done on playgrounds  Lilleskogen: Reflective protective posts installed to deter snowmobilers going into the park toward assets  Garbage cans removed for season  WIP: Park sign down - Still in retro fit mode with trail updates  Hay Lake: Garbage emptied twice  Dock removed from Goose Lake  Warming house checked and prepared for winter use  Rink: two kick plates replaced, extra net to catch pucks installed Other:  Holiday decorating at Comm. Ctr.  Safety training for staff  Voting booths set up, taken down  Tables and stage removed for floor stripping and waxing  Cold storage - New door knob keyed the same as old knob  Fire extinguisher annual inspections complete
