The purpose of this update is to provide you with information on vazious projects and
engineering activiries for the month.
HIGHLIGHTS FOR TIME PERIOD?115/08-3115/O8
• Tu Gava sent credit for inspection services to City along with letter.
� Pavement Management-A proposal was submitted to the City on Mazch 12,2008
detailing the process and cost to prepare a Plan for managing roadways.
� Old Marine Estates-received updated information but no action taken.
� 2008 Road Striping-lnformation was submitted to the County. We aze included
in their stripping work that wilI take place this summer.

• Project was completed by Dresel Contracting on time and under Uudget.
• Assessments were levied.

2. PiIar Road
e Reviewed maps and road easement information. Made list of issues we will
encounter with the future paving. Still gathering information on past surveys and
right-of-way along Pilar Road.

Private Developments:
1. Wvldewood Acres
• Still some landscaping to be done Uy developer.
• Cracked sidewalk at severallocaHons along Odell-caused by developer's equipment,

2. Nature's Walk
• Dead trees were removed and replaced in Fall, 2007,
� Letter of Credit: $7,50Q for landscaping.

3. Wild Bush Acres
e Bituminous wear course and gravel shouldering were completed on all streets in
August,2007.
• Erosion control measures were installed late in 2006 and grass is growing.
• Letter of Credit: $60,000 for streets,$1,500 for Landscaping. 3 trees are questionable,

4. The Sanctuarv
• Bituminous wear course still needs to be placed.
• Letter of Credit: On 10/4/05,amount was reduced to$9,375 for s#reets and$3,000 for
landscaping.
• Developer was contacted in August,2007 about paving the final wear course for his
800 foot-long road.

5. Willowbrook Church
• Reviewed site plan and provide engineering comments.
• No action taken tIvs month.
6. Tii Gavo
e All roads are Uuilt through the class 5 gravel, including Phase 2
• Base course bituminous is in place on half the streets
• Pressure sanitary sewer pipes and service lines are in-place.
• Testing will be done in 2008.
• Storm sewer culvert,piping and structures are 99% complete.
• Infiltration,filtration and wet sedimentation basins will Ue constructed in 2008, alang
with necessary vudet structures,dxaintile and skimmers.
� Ihe wastewater treahnent system will be installed in 2008.
• All erosion control devices are in-place throughout the development.
• Temporary seeding has been done.
• Final restorations with native seeds will be done in 2Q08.
• Dredging of the channel is scheduled for February 2008(300 to 500 cuUic yards).
• Private utilities are scheduled for Spring 2Q08.
• SWPP permit inspections will be done by Jason Husveth in eariy 2Q08.
• A revised landscape plan was approved in January. (tree species-number and
location,native prairie in several of the outlots)
• Rehbein has Ueen retaineci by the developer and their crews will complete all the
necessary work in 2008.
• Met with Mark Sandercott and City Staff to discuss our inspection hours last summer.
Since some storm sewer and sireets were redone when Rehbein was brought in, they
felt a credit was due. We reviewed our records,discussed in-house,and agreed to
creciit inspection time from last August. A memo will be forwarded to Anne in t11e
coming month.
• A credit was issued to the city for$3,330 for inspection services. A letter of

7. White Rock Ranch
e Final plat has been approved.
• No action taken this month.
8. Old Marine Estates
• Waiting for developer to move ahead.
• Received updated informaHan f�rom Hult&Associates on Mazch 12,2008.

Stuclies anc� General Engijzeering:
1. Pavement Management Studv
• Directed to prepaze a proposal that includes options for the City,
• Plan will document existing condiHons and provide strategies to manage pavements
and roadways.
• A Proposal was submitted to City on March 12,2008. The five step process includes
roadway inventory,roadway condition raiing,roadway prioriEies,cost estimates
and prepazation of a report. Total cost of$9,800.
• The Proposal will be presented to Council on March 18.
2. 2008 Road Striuing
• Received a letter from Washingtan County asking if Scandia wants to include some
roads with their striping project�
• Discussed with John Morrison, Working on a list of streets to include.
� Sent list ta County-we are included in the stripping program which will take place
this summer. Estimated cost of$10,000 to$15,000 for stripping roads in Scandia.
3. Projects that aze cornplete and in warrantyperiod
� Lofton Court Drainage. Will inspect in]uly. No action taken this month.
• Perkins Ave.berm. Will inspect in July. Na artion taken this rnonth.
� Novak Avenue turnaround. One year inspection in October. No action taken this
month.
• 182nd Street Drainage. One year inspection in�ctober. IVo action taken this month.
• Mostad driveway. Claim was dismissed in court. IVo action taken this month.
• C�lsen/Sandgren Project, �ne year inspection in June,
