7.a)3) VF15 Wish List TemplateWish List Vinterfest relies entirely on volunteer support. An anuual 2-day event is quite an undertaking! Here are some of the “Wishes” with which YOU would like to help us to come true! Financial proceeds from Vinterfest 2015 will benefit the Lilliskogen Parks Improvement Fund. Call City of Scandia, with ideas and to volunteer, or donate goods and services! 651 433-2274 1. Candlelight Skating Exhibition, and Pleasure Skating: Friday evening—Saturday, 4:00 pm –Prepare the Gammelgården Pond for skating (one week before Vinterfest thru Sat, 4 p.m.) And, Set up temporary Warming Hus at Gammelgården Pond (Several hardy souls). –Clean-up area on Saturday. 2. Lilletour&Quizpromenade: Gammelgården, Saturday noon-4 p.m. –Work the registration table indoors (1-2 hour shifts: 11-4 pm) –Crossing guard at Oakhill Road into Lilleskogen Park (n-3:30 p.m.) –Secure prizes for the Quizpromenade (3 categories, 9 prizes total). 3. Prizes: • Snow Sculpture Contest (Kids and Family Categories) • Vinterfest Button Contest winners (3 Scandia Elementary 6th grad- ers) • Quizpromenade Prizes 4. Financial Contributors This year we have lofty goals for raising money for park improvements at Lilleskogen! Goal: $3,000. Improvment goals include: –Paving the parking lot (eligibility for additional state and county grants is dependent on the parking lot). –Completing the Butterfly Garden installation. –Building an accessible gazebo. –Invasive plant eradication. –Boardwalks, and path improvements.
