Re: City Administrator Resignation, Direction on Hiring Process
Background: At the February work session the Council directed staff to obtain proposal from
executive search firms for recruitment assistance.
Inquiries were sent to Springsted Inc., Hue.Life (formerly Brimeyer Fursman), David Drown and
Associates, and GovHR. All of these firms have experience in recruiting for City Administrator
or Manager positions.
Issue:
How would the Council like to proceed with filling the City Administrator position?
Proposal Details:
Copies of the proposals received follow this cover report.
Options:
1) Accept one of the proposals received
2) Interview the firms that submitted proposals
3) Handle the hiring process in house and utilize on-line resources to advertise the position
4) Do not fill the position at this time.
5) Look at other staffing alternative
