Businesses that made a cash contribution of $100 to $249 were considered sponsors at the Loperer ("Runner") level. Businesses that made a cash contribution of $250 or more were considered sponsors at the Guldmedalj ("Gold Medal") level. The balance of the funds raised each year after paying Vinterfest expenses would be placed in the Lilleskogen Park Restoration Fund for the purpose of restoring/developing the park. Additionally, Bolton and Menk agreed to sponsor the snow sculpture contest again this year and provided the funds awarded to the winners, with the remaining balance to fund Lilleskogen. A complete listing of all volunteers and donors of in kind services is listed on the City's website. As with other donations, the Council must formally accept the donations via a resolution. Issue: Should the City accept the donations for Lilleskogen and Vinterfest? Proposal: The resolution detailing the donations is included in your packet. Fiscal Impact: This year, $3,331 was donated towards Vinterfest expenses and the restoration of Lilleskogen park. The 2015 budget included $675 for Vinterfest expenses. This year, Vinterfest expenses totaled $1,952. The remaining $2,054 will go towards the Lilleskogen Park Restoration Fund. With Bolton and Menk contributing the prize money for the snow sculpture contest, these funds will no longer have to come from the City's budget.
