3.k Washington County Bike + Ped Plan TAC
City Council will discuss City Planner Merritt Clapp-Smith’s participation to the Committee as
described below:
Subject: Washington County Bike + Ped Plan Technical Advisory Committee
Greetings,
Washington County Public Works is beginning the process to create a county-wide bicycle and
pedestrian plan. The county has contracted with the Hoisington Koegler Group Incorporated (HKGi) as a
consultant to facilitate this process. Along with policy and implementation recommendations, the goal
of the plan is develop a prioritized bicycle and pedestrian network based off of a variety of criteria.
This planning process will be led by Washington County Public Works. We are looking for city staff
(primarily planners but it’s not a requirement) to assist and inform this process through a technical
advisory committee (TAC). The TAC will meet three times throughout the 1 year planning process.
These meetings will be up to two hours in length with materials to be reviewed by TAC members prior to
meetings. TAC members should also be willing and able to assist with engagement in their respective
community.
If you are interested in serving on the TAC, please respond to this email by Friday, June 7 at 11 am. We
will have a limited number of spots available. If you are not able or interested in serving on the TAC
there will be other ways to provide input on this process as it develops.
Please reach out with questions or concerns.
Thanks,
Emily
