Our mission is to "Ensure the Success of Youth" by offering programs and services reflecting
our belief that youth will be successful when:
relationships are strong,
communities are caring,
families are involved and supportive,
harmony is restored, and
youth have the skills and opportunities for citizenship.
Our goals are to strengthen relationships, increase a youth's sense of belonging and worth and
help them to develop a sense of mastery by:
• focusing on multiple supportive relationships with adults and peers,
• creating meaningful opportunities for involvement and membership, and
• providing challenging, engaging activities and learning experiences in a safe, nurturing
environment.
LC4YF Programs
Intervention and Diversion Programs are set up to intervene when youth need professional
support and guidance around making safer life choices and better decision making skills. These
programs are evidence -based and designed to empower youth through education, counseling,
increased community connections, and simply giving them a second chance.
Intervention/Diversion Programs include: Youth and Family Counseling, Restorative
Justice/Community Justice, Chemical Health/Addiction Services, and Suspension Services
Youth and Family Counseling: Through the Youth and Family Counseling programs,
professional counselors and therapists work with youth, their families, and adults and couples to
address mental health and behavior issues focused on improving relationships, developing
communication and coping skills, and improving overall family functioning. As of February
2019 we now have three full time counseling staff. LC4YF accepts insurance and also provides
the option of a sliding fee scale when a parent can't pay for services, they have a high deductible,
or they uninsured or underinsured.
Youth Enrichment/Workforce Readiness Programs include Launch and Jobs Plus. LC4YF's
Jobs Plus program is a multi -faced approach to helping youth gain work and life skills. Job Plus
incorporates programs and services that help youth prepare for, find and keep a job. Many youth
today do not receive this type of assistance in school and some face these all important yet
difficult tasks alone.
