Re: Public Hearing on Budget
Background:
Per state statute, the City may hold the public hearing on the budget any time after November
25th. In the past, the Council has had the budget hearing at the December work session.
Issue:
When should the Council hold the public hearing for the 2020 budget?
Proposal Details:
Consistent with past practice, staff would recommend the budget hearing be held at the start
of the December work session. Under the current ordinance the work session is held on the
first Wednesday of each month.
Fiscal Impact:
NA
Options:
Any date between November 25 and December 28.
Recommendation:
December City Council Work Session-December 4, 2019 at 6:30pm.
