Six (6) bids were received and ranged from $20,400.00 to $126,895.00. A Bid Tabulation has been included. Copies will also be distributed to each Bidder after award by the City. The following is a bid summary: Contractor Base Bid Scandia Trucking & Excavating L.C. $20,400.00 Peterson Excavating $27,730.00 RE Peterson, Inc. $28,500.00 Dunaway Construction $93,400.00 Peterson Companies, Inc. $117,163.00 New Look Contracting, Inc. $126,895.00 Based on the summary above and discussions with City Staff, if the City Council wishes to award the Project to the lowest bidder, then Scandia Trucking & Excavating L.C. should be awarded the Project on Base Bid in the amount of $20,400.00. The City has budgeted more funds for ditching improvements along Pilar Road N. It is recommended Council authorize staff to work with the low bid contractor to perform additional ditching up to an agreed upon amount as determined by the City Council.
