3. Scandia Tournament-Social Distancing PlanSocial Distancing Plan For Scandia Softball Tournament
-All players are assigned a designated area in their team dugout, based on their
defensive position. All of that players equipment is to be placed, and remain,
in the designated area. If your team is up to bat, and the players needs to
leave their designated area, they must wear a mask.
-All players must social distance a minimum of 6 feet at all times, unless a
defensive play requires contact, for which the baserunner will be wearing a
mask.
-Batters/Baserunners are to wear a mask at all times they are not in their
designated area. If they do not have a mask, or their mask becomes unuseable,
one will be provided.
-Umpire has a choice of wearing a mask to assume a normal position, or not wear
a mask, and umpire from behind the fence behind home plate.
-Defensive players are not required to wear a mask, but may do so if they wish.
-All players enter and exit through Gate 'A' at the beginning and end of each game.
-All players will follow the traffic flow patterns to their designated position and
dugout areas, based on the diagram provided.
-A player will remain in their designated area when their team is in the dugout.
When a players team is batting, and it is a player's turn to warm up to bat, they
must first put on their mask before moving from their designated area. They
can remove their mask only when they return to their designated area.
-If a total ballpark limit of 50 persons is imposed, then all players will be
limited to one guest, or 10 guests per team.
-As of this time, there is no plan for concessions. If limited to 50 persons,
there will be no concessions.
