C. TEMPORARY SEDIMENTATION BASINS SHALL BE SITUATED OUTSIDE OF SURFACE WATERS AND ANY REQUIRED BUFFER ZONE, AND MUST BE DESIGNED TO AVOID DRAINING WETLANDS, UNLESS THE IMPACT IS IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THIS PERMIT. D. EXCESSIVE SEDIMENT -LADEN WATER THAT IS NOT PROPERLY FILTERED WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO DISCHARGE FROM SIRE. 25. DEWATERING AND BASIN DRAINING A. TURBID OR SEDIMENT -LADEN WATERS RELATED TO DEWATERING OR BASIN DRAINING SHALL BE DISCHARGED TO A TEMPORARY OR PERMANENT SEDIMENTATION BASIN ON THE PROJECT SITE UNLESS INFEASIBLE. THE TEMPORARY OR PERMANENT BASIN MAY DISCHARGE TO SURFACE WATERS IF THE BASIN WATER HAS BEEN VISUALLY CHECKED TO ENSURE ADEQUATE TREATMENT HAS BEEN OBTAINED IN THE BASIN AND THAT THE NUISANCE CONDITIONS WILL NOT RESULT FROM THE DISCHARGE. DISCHARGE POINTS SHALL BE ADEQUATELY PROTECTED FROM EROSION AND PROPER VELOCITY DISSIPATION PROVIDED. B.
