We attended the meeting online and had missed the "registration" deadline in order to participate though we listened in. Not sure why one cannot just join in. Without any agenda sent with the notice, we wasted two hours of our precious time listening to other agenda items. We finally gave up having to get ready for our next day of work. We see that the vineyards and just about everything else on said winery property is already in place. We're confused as to why we received the notice. It looks quite apparent that this is a go, no matter what anyone says. These people must have money because that is all that pretty much matters in the world, definitely in Scandia, and dictates everything. Our concern is the increased congestion and noise level of Highway 95, which already sounds like the Sturgis bikers rally day in and day out. Businesses such as this will not only increase traffic but often tend to include "events", music and such. As an avid music lover, I am not opposed to music but we like to enjoy it on our terms instead of someone else's. Large events could bring about a great deal of extraneous noise. My husband and I moved out here to get away from all the noise and a good portion of the traffic but it turns out that South Minneapolis is actually quieter. As for the notice and the gathering of tax payer input, the notice was a complete waste of taxpayer dollars and without an agenda attached, which would be proper protocol, a complete waste of our time.
