Re: Election of President
Background:
Last August Tm Triplett was elected President of the EDA. In January he informed the Council
he would be moving to Stillwater. At the February 17th meeting the Council appointed Sally
Swanson to the EDA to replace Triplett.
Issue:
Should a new president be elected following Triplett’s resignation or shall the Vice President
Bruce Swenson serve in that role until the next election cycle in August?
Proposal Details:
The EDA may either make Bruce Swenson the acting president as he was elected Vice President
in August or elect another member to fill the vacancy. If Swenson is President then a new Vice
President is needed. The terms would continue until the next election cycle in August.
Options:
Any member of the EDA may serve as President or Vice President but the same person can’t be
both.
