Dear Mayor C. Maefsky,
I am, Betty France Sterbentz and Bob Sterbentz we live just south of the Big
Marine Store, we share his south and our north property line.
We have two issues: 1. The drainage water in the Northeast corner of Big
Marine Store property.
2. We want a solid 6 -foot white Fence built on his south
and our north property line. From the west survey stake to the east survey stake.
Here is a little background information on these issues:
1. We have been dealing with Mr. Reicherts since 2007 when the drainage
water basin eroded away and now there is at least a three-foot ditch
forming on our property. Again, there has been sediment that has
washed down into the pond. He never fixed the problem in 2007 and
now each year it is getting worse. This issue needs to be fixed/corrected.
2. Mr Reicherts had a 6 -foot white fence build halfway down on the property
line. He failed to get a permit and he did not get his survey person to mark off
the property line. On the west end, the starting point of the fence, was
built three feet onto our property and the fence ended on the property line. We
tryed to negotiate but instead he tore the fence down. Then it took him 4+
months to dig up the concrete and the sharp ends of the remaining
fence and he never filled in the holes with dirt. My husband and I had to put up a
snow fence to keep out his customers and children from going onto our property
and that goes for pets too. There has been lots and lots of trash that was
coming over on our property (food wrapers, paper cups, newspapers, candy and
gum, etc.), and the latest was building materials from the garage
he built just north of our property line. The snow fence we put up is on
the property line according the the survey stakes.
We need a fence up between our two properties. I have observed other
commercial and residential properties and there are fences put up between the
two.
We would like both of these issues resolved before Mr. Reicherts starts
construction of his convenience store.
We would like you to bring this information to the City Council Meeting topight.
Thank you for your time.
