Planning Commission Members,
I would like to share my comments on the Davies request for a setback variance to allow the
removal and replacement of their residence located at 12050 196th St.
1. Bob and Deb took the time to share their plans with me for the proposed improvement. I
believe they’ve done everything possible to maintain the original aesthetic of the property
while solving structural and placement issues. The size of the proposed structures are w ell
within the norms of other structures in the area.
2. I was unable to attend the August 4 meeting and I saw there was a question on the well
supplying water to the property. I share this well with the Davies and also with the property
between us. The controls, pressure tank and electrical hookup are located in my residence, and
the high capacity system easily meets the demand of the 3 dwellings. There is a perpetual
easement and maintenance agreement in place.
I fully support the improvements Bob and Deb would like to make to their property and
encourage the Planning Commission to recommend the City Council approve the variance.
