General:
The PW department purchased the approved trailer to aid in volunteer watering for projects
throughout the community. It should be ready for use by 8-5-20. A proposed amendment to the
volunteer for to cover the use of the trailer has been submitted to administration for review.
The second set of bleachers is being assembled. The final stage of assembly will need to occur on
site so staff will wait until the youth baseball players are done for the season before proceeding.
Lilleskogen:
The Friends of Scandia Parks and Trails will be adding plants to their corner for the parking lot. Staff
is meeting with the watershed district representative to see if placing culverts in the park instead of a
bridge would be an option.
Wayne Erickson Lighted Ballfield:
The FLYBA (Forest Lake Youth Baseball Assoc.) has been using the field on a regular basis. Their
contribution of purchasing the first base safety-base was approved by the council and received. We
thank them for their support and contribution.
Area for the 4H project has been sprayed and should be ready for the project in two weeks.
Warming House / Rinks:
Staff has submitted a proposed form to use to the administration for review.
Hay Lake & Monument:
Area approved at Hay Lake for the 4H project has been sprayed and should be ready for the project
in two weeks.
WIP
Our volunteer for WIP has been making progress on heading back the brush along the pathways and
has installed several more informal log steps.
Volunteer: Watering Trailer Use Policy – Requirements:
Use of the City Watering Trailer is available to volunteers under the rules set by the Volunteer
Policy. The trailer may only be used by those providing services to the community owned
properties. The trailer receives a 1 7/8’ ball.
The operator of the vehicle towing the trailer must provide proof of insurance, have a valid
driver’s license, be 18 years old or older, and sign out the trailer at City Hall. A Key for the hitch
lock will be provided to the person signing out and using the trailer. Only the person who has
provided these materials required may tow and use the trailer.
