Skating Program Update
• Katy Herman is reaching out to other instructors to teach the Learn to Skate program. Herman
reported that Roseville Skating Rink is open now and allows open skate sessions on the inside
rink. Herman will keep staff informed of Roseville’s class COVID-19 policies as their classes
begin November 12th. Staff will get feedback after at least two weeks of classes to see if they
make any adjustments.
• Forest Lake buses are not able to provide any Scandia Elementary School student
transportation to the warming house for any programs.
• Staff requested on Next Door for residents to provide feedback for PRC about the possibility of
the Learn to Skate class:
o I definitely would put my 3 elementary aged kids in the class this year. Being an outside
class seems to be low risk for transmission. I hope you’re able to hold it!
