Subject- Sub -surface se%va a treatment systern site evaluation 13160 132nd St N, candia. a'~wM ; 5U73
Dear Jim,
Flease find the attached invoice:, Soil pit logs, soil sarvey dala, and the aerial photography showing
the approximate soil pit locations relative to subject property- Solt pits w e m performed surrounding
an area of appro.Nimatcly 12,1 5 s;giiarc, fcal on the southwest par4 of the property- It i> my opiriion
that this area will support primary and future sub -surface sewage treatment systems that will meet
state nrid county requirements- The soil conditions indicate that an above ground type of systern
(nioutid) could be installed in this area- Percolation rates at 12 inehcs, where a system wouEd be
instal led, are expected to be bet+Peen 16 to 30 minutes per inch. After the exact location and size of
Ric houselbuilding have been determined, a complete system) design showing lank siz", soil
treatment system size and location, etc. will be required by the county. Additional soil pits andJor
percolation tests may be required once the exact location of inlprovenients to the property have been
&tc rrn i ni d -
Areas that may be used for selvage treatment systems must. be fenced off prior to construction tco
prevent access by construction equipment, which may harm the soils, rendering the arca unsuitable
for a sub -surface seivago treatment system.
Please be advised that tl1e Findings herein are based on my interprelad on of -lye site and soils. 111 no
way Can 1 guarantee ihat a!Oii 1gton County %vill approve the installation of a sub -surface sewage
trcaimenr syy.em on this property- I reconinyend obiaining a soil review from Washington Count-%- to
irlSure that they will approve the soils for the installation of a system on this property; a Washington
County soil review kpp ieation i: attached- In addilion, no in1erprctt16L)T1 of the soils relalive to the
construction of building footings has been given. Nor has any indicalion been given relative to the
future use of ihi; property liocyond the suitability of the soils for a sub -Surface so%vage treatment
systCM- I reC0111mcad contacting Washington County and the City of Scandia to verify that your
proposed property improvernenis %vill be acceptable.
Thank you very mach for allowlno me to dry this work. Plew carrot mo should you havuany
