Re: Rehiring of Adriane Krager
Background:
Adriane joined the fire department 06/01/2017, but due to COVID-19 resigned from the department 07/30/2020.
During her time with the department she completed the required training (EMT & FF2). She was also fitted
with new turnout gear. While she has been away she has kept up her training and certificates. This means that
we will just have to train her on our standard operation guidelines that have changed in the time that she was
out.
Issue:
Should the city re-hire Adriane Krager?
Proposal Details:
Rehire Adrian Krager effective May 6th. She already has EMT, firefighter 2 & newer turnout gear. We would
put her on a temporary probation until the fire chief & training officers feel that she is up to date on our current
standard operational guidelines.
Fiscal Impact:
The fiscal impact is her hourly wage of $13.33/hour. This is accounted for in our operating budget.
Options:
(1) Re-hire Adriane Krager
(2) Not re-hire Adriane Krager
(3) Rehire with other restrictions
Recommendation:
Option (1).
