Re: Staff Report
• Lilleskogen Sign Update: Be hnken Stone is unable to locate bricks that reflect current pilar supports on
City signs. A substitute has been chosen and permits will be submitted both to the Scandia and to
Washington County (installing in their Right of Way) after Behnken Stone confirms a few details.
Soderlunds Mill is waiting for the columns to be installed before fabricating the sign.
• Arts in Action – St. Croix Festival Theater confirmed dates approved by City Council, August 2-6, 2021.
• Orwell Ave Park Survey Monkey request for park name suggestions has launched and is open until July

• Staff requested Metropolitan Mosquito Control District to consider addressing Lilleskog en and Bone
Lake Parks. They did not respond to the direct email, but sent a press release about this year’s
program. Their website includes the following link, which allows the ability to search ‘Scandia’ to see
the last treatment of many areas. Staff posted this information on the City’s website, Facebook page
and Nextdoor account.

• Open Eye Theater’s last Driveway Tour date is August 15, 2021.
• Public Works cleaned the graffiti off the Wind in the Pines trail signs. Staff reported that some signs
might be missing. Public Works will follow up to confirm.
• Tree Trust’s Green Futures program contact for the City of Scandia is Karen Zumach, Director of
Community Forestry. Staff has reached out and is waiting for a reply.
• Pickleball Straps for the tennis court nets are on order to replace the missing ones.
