Something similar to this would be ideal, and if it does get approved, I can help finding something with
you guys. Thanks again

Hello!
We play in a men’s rec slow pitch softball league, and we use this field for practicing at least once a
week. The screen is typically used in practices, but some places have incorporated it into games as well.
It’s light and 1-2 players can move them. I’m not sure how many others use the field for this, but I know
I’ve seen other groups there. Like I said it doesn’t have to be anything fancy, just something to protect
the pitcher from hard hit balls up the middle, so nobody gets hurt. We occasionall y use other fields that
have them, and theft hasn’t been a problem either. Honestly that’s the one downside for us using
Wayne Erickson park. Thanks for all your help and hopefully we can get something to work!

Hi Riley - First of all, I am sorry it took so long to get back to you.
I think the screen is a good idea, I don't think it would be too high cost. I'd like to propose we get this,
but it would help if you could give me some additional information.
What group are you with? Is this a rec league or high school or?
Are you aware of other groups that would use it? If so, who are they?
How often does your group play at the Wayne Erickson field (that's the field on Olinda, north of town)?
Is this used in games or just for practice sessions? I assume it is light enough to be moved easily?
Any extra info would be helpful.
If you can get back to me, we have a parks meeting again on June 7, and I could see if we could get this
approved.
Thanks

Thanks for getting back to me. I was hoping to get a screen to protect the pitcher. Just something small
doesn’t even have to be store bought. Some places just use a section of chain link fence. And it is the
field off of Olinda on the north end of town north of 97.
Thanks again. I have attached a photo of something similar that most places have.
