Re: Playground Update
Our playground equipment replacement subcommittee met Monday, April 19th. In the public engagement survey, we
previously sent out, we requested respondents submit nearby playgrounds they frequently visit. This past April meeting,
we assigned each member a playground or 2 to visit to evaluate prior to our next meeting on 5/17. Some things we are
looking at are equipment condition, features, surfacing, layout, popular equipment, unpopular equipment, etc. We
briefly discussed grant opportunities we previously identified and grant submission timing. We did some aerial overview
of available space at the Community Center and talked about possible future building plans. At the next meeting in May,
we will start to put together a list of priorities we want to see in the new playground equipment and look at
working with some vendors to see what layout options they can come up with in our budget.
